CARFAX - Common Questions on Vehicle History Reports - Incident Dates
Always pay attention to the date the report was run and compare to the incident dates.
If an incident occurred just before the report was run, it’s possible the claim is still open with the insurance company and the amount will be updated on future reports.
CARFAX Canada recommends you ask the owner of the vehicle for more details on the recent claim. We also recommend an inspection on the vehicle.
