Payment Method Configurations - Nuvei/Till Payment for Payment by Credit Card

To use this payment solution, the client must go through Nuvei. In fact, it is only Nuvei that has the capacity to add client to our list of merchants.

Once the merchant has been added by Nuvei, it is possible to retrieve the necessary information to configure them in GEM-CAR:

 

Signing up to Virtual Terminal to Allow Payment by Email: the Nuvei Option

Nuvei offers Virtual Terminal to allow payment by email. Here is Nuvei's Website for more information.
 
At the time of writing this FAQ article, the subscription is 20$/ month and 2.95% for the card fees for this service.

Here is the information to include in the email for any request to connect a virtual terminal.
  • Preferred Language
  • Business Name
  • Contact Name
  • Contact Email
  • Contact Number
  • Company Province/ State
  • Card Current Terminal (Y/N)
  • Virtual Terminal (Y/N)
  • GEM-CAR Version Used
  • Best Time to Contact
  • Notes

 

How to Configure Nuvei/Till Payment 

To receive Automatic Payments with terminals, you need to click on Configurations > Configurations.

Then click API > Merchant Accounts > +New.

On the next page, enter the following information:

  • Processor
  • Currency
  • Status
  • Merchant ID
  • Secret key
  • Account number
  • Shared key
  • Password

All you have to do is to confirm with the client what  Account used for payments he will use, and click on Save and Close.

How to take the client's payment

Once the terminal has been set up, a new button is automatically added to the methods of payment in the Point of Sale.

  1. From the left main menu, click on Point of Sale.
  2. Complete the Estimate.
  3. Click on Payment.

To take the client's payment:

  1. Click on Send to payment terminal.
  2. Select the Terminal.
  3. Click on Send.

 

Taking Credit Card Payments Manually

If you prefer, you could still take credit card payment by entering the credit card information manually in the system.

Click on Take a credit card payment.
