Create a PDF Document with Clients Estimate
Once the estimate is complete you can press F3 or click on the estimate box in the bottom right of the window.
GEM-CAR will bring you to the documents tab and you can now your estimate, and its number as a pdf in the documents tab.
How to send out an estimate to a client?
First is it important to have your estimate in a PDF file.
Using the icons the the right, two ways are offered to you the send out he estimate to the client:
1) send the estimate with a e-mail
On the right of your screen, your quick icons are available, click on the envelope one.
A email sending page will open.
- Add the customer email as a recipient
- Add any people who need to be copied to this email
- Make sure that the estimate PDF matches the right number (GEM-CAR does it automatically to reduce risk of user error, make sure that no added characters are added into this field).
- Send the email using the the blue send button on the left side of the page.
2) Send the estimate via SMS. On the right of your screen, your quick icons are available, click on the cellphone

- Will open, make sure to select the wanted template, if you leave it blank it will send through the default template.
- Phone number should automatically transfers if it was the client info
- The estimate pdf will be sent out as a attachment
- Send the SMS using the blue send button on the left side of the page.
Make sure the customer has approved the estimate.
